The Math Behind It

The calculator uses nutrient values per 100 g from trusted food-composition references. For any portion, it first converts your serving to grams:

Portion in grams = amount entered × (28.35 if ounces, else 1) × number of servings

It then applies the same factor to every nutrient:

Nutrient value = (portion in grams ÷ 100) × nutrient per 100 g

Net carbs are total carbs minus fiber. Fiber is not digested into glucose, so many low-carb and keto trackers prefer this figure, while people who count total carbohydrates for medical reasons usually stick with the full number.
